Instagram adds story likes

Amid Valentine's Day, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri announced a new way to show love with story likes.

Created in a similar fashion as Meta, formerly known as Facebook, story reactions, Instagram's story likes will not be viewable to the public. As mentioned by Mosseri, to alleviate clutter in the DMs the likes will be available for viewing in the next to the users name in viewers list at the bottom of the screen.

The new feature rolled out to all IG users on Valentine's Day.
