LinkedIn rolls out new features
Called "one of the most civilized and useful social networks" by Wall Street Journalist Joanna Stern, LinkedIn pushes forward with "no-politics" button and other new features.
As the increase of Generation Z users continue to shape the way the networking platform grows and adapts, LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky prepares for more features that cater to creators like the "no-politics" button - recently made available to a small group of US users.
As explained in the above video, LinkedIn will use keywords and engagement signals from users and some internal team input to track and identify what qualifies as a political post.
Though this sounds like a great solution for filtering noise on a platform built for professional discussion and networking; it could pose issues \in content suppression and engagement resistance for political professionals and creators looking to grow on LinkedIn, as well.
Other features have already begun to roll out including 30 second profile videos and the soon-to-come live video and audio conferencing integration - think Clubhouse meets Zoom!
